ECTS for Partaking in the ACP Seminar
Within the IMADA department, the ACP Seminar can be considered a "Ph.D.
course activity". As such, it can grant ECTS credits to Ph.D. students from all
IMADA sections, much like regular courses.
ECTS value
Completing the course activity once is worth
1.5 ECTS. The same student
can complete the activity up to three times.
Content
The ACP seminar provides its audience with an overview of the research being
currently carried out by ACP members, as well as their collaborators and
guests.
Regulations
To complete the course activity once, a Ph.D. student must, in any order,
attend 8 talks by speakers other than themselves, and present their work at
one talk. The student must ensure that the course responsible is tracking
their attendance.
Hours
We estimate that completing the course activity will take you no more than 7
contact hours and 28 at-home preparation hours.
Course Responsible
The current organizer of the ACP seminar (i.e., the
person ACP
members contact to schedule a talk) is also the course responsible for the
ACP seminar regarded as a Ph.D. course activity.
Approval of Course Activity
To ensure the Ph.D. Study Committee approves of you partaking in the seminar for
credits,
you must fill in section 1 of
this form (section 2 is already
filled in). After you and your main supervisor have signed it, you must send it
to the
Ph.D.
Study Committee chair (beware: this link will only work if you are already
signed in on SDUnet).
Registration of Course Activity Outcome
After completing the course activity, simply ask the course responsible to
notify
natphd@sdu.dk with you in CC. No
attachments necessary. Your ECTS will soon appear on
PhDweb.
